To ensure transparency while fostering consumer engagement\, the Centers of Medicaid & Medicare Services (CMS) established a set of formal rulings that impact consumers and staff who deliver care spanning from community life through long term care\, and everything in between. These mandated rules require providers to evaluate their current practices and pursue new creative solutions to meet the criteria. With the increasing demands being placed on this industry\, and continuing workforce constraints\, how do consumers and providers manage a human services system that begins to place more emphasis on community\, choice\, and transparency?
